The collection has now has its place in the Museum promised by our Rector Prof. Necla Ateş and the museum is nearly being finished. And we would like to underline our appreciation to our Rector on this occassion. The Short History of the Valide-i Atik Külliye of Üsküdar The facu!ty is working very hard  to attain the ownership of Toptaşı Valide-i Atik Külliyesi which is a great cornplex established  by the architect Mimar Sinan in 1570 — 1579 in Üsküdar. This monumental complex the design of which is accomplished by Mimar Sinan, the great architect of Ottoman Times, owns a programme like Süleymaniye Külliye, as it were in the most important sultan külliyes of the time. It is a group of socially  planned  group of buildings holding a multifunctional mission and a perfect model for the Otoman time.   This complex had been allocated for the faculty in 2003.   MARMARA UNIVERSITY
